A Current List of State Approved RON Platforms

Most people are unfamiliar with Notary terms or Notary technology until they need a document notarized and realize that the entire Notary process has changed. With the advancement of technology in the 21st century, you are now able to have almost any document notarized online. This service is referred to as “RON,” which is an abbreviation of the words, “Remote Online Notary.” For many Notaries, the first question is: “How to become an online Notary?” In order to perform remote notarizations, you will first need to be a commissioned Notary in the state and county you reside or work. Second, you will need to choose a RON platform provider that will give you the tools you need. Third, you will need to know if your state law requires Notaries to select a provider that has been approved by the commissioning official. Now that you know what it takes to become a Remote Online Notary, we have provided a comprehensive list of each state and the names of state approved RON platforms.
